Information we collect
Information you send us
If you email us, we receive your email address, name if provided, and the contents of your message. We use this only to respond and to improve our content.
Technical information
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard server logs, which can include your IP address, browser type, referring page, and the pages you request. These logs are used for security, troubleshooting, and site performance.
Cookies
Our own pages do not currently set advertising or analytics cookies. If we add analytics or other tools that use cookies, we will update this policy before doing so.
When you click an affiliate link, the retailer or affiliate network may set cookies on its own site to attribute your purchase. Those cookies are governed by that company's privacy policy.
Third-party services
- Hosting: our site is hosted by a third-party web host that processes server logs on our behalf.
- Fonts: our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers. Google's privacy policy applies to that request.
- Retailers: links to retailers and manufacturers lead to websites with their own privacy practices.
How we use information
- To respond to your messages
- To keep the site secure and working properly
- To understand which content is useful, in aggregate
We do not sell your personal information.

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information you have sent us by emailing contact@solarbackupguide.org. Depending on where you live, including California, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws, and we will honor applicable requests.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our site changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
