Our take
On paper, the EcoFlow DELTA 2 Max is one of the more complete 2 kWh-class power stations: LiFePO4 chemistry, fast wall charging, a high 1,000 W solar input, room to expand, and a 5-year warranty stated on the product page. Solar panels are sold separately unless a promotion applies, and the page does not show a price or full outlet list, so confirm those before you buy.
Good fit if you
- Want to recharge quickly from solar or the wall
- Value a clearly stated multi-year warranty
- Plan to add battery capacity later
- Want a lighter unit in this capacity class
Look elsewhere if you
- Want everything, including panels, in one kit price
- Need a very high surge rating for large motors
- Prefer to avoid app-centered products

- 5-year warranty stated upfront
- Expandable to 6,144 Wh

What 2,048 Wh means in an outage
Using the same planning estimate we apply to every unit, about 85% of rated capacity, the DELTA 2 Max would deliver roughly 1,700 Wh of usable AC power. That is about a day and a quarter for a refrigerator using 1.2 kWh per day, or around five nights for a 40 W CPAP. These are estimates, not test results.
Its main advantage is recharging. With enough panels connected to use more of its 1,000 W solar input, it can refill much faster than a unit limited to a single small panel, which matters most in multi-day outages. Use our calculator to estimate your needs.
Company reputation
On Trustpilot, EcoFlow had a TrustScore of 3.6 out of 5 from more than 10,000 reviews when we checked on October 11, 2026. Positive reviews often praise build quality, charging speed, and helpful pre-sale support. Negative reviews commonly describe slow or inconsistent after-sales support for warranty claims, some early failures, and order problems.
Alternatives to consider
The 4Patriots Patriot Power Solar Generator 2200X has slightly more capacity and a higher stated surge rating, and its kit includes a panel. See our side-by-side comparison.
FAQ
Is X-Boost the same as surge power?
No. X-Boost is EcoFlow's mode for running some higher-wattage devices, typically resistive ones like heaters, at reduced power. Surge capacity for starting motors is a separate specification.
Can it run a refrigerator?
Its continuous output covers most refrigerators. Runtime depends on your fridge's daily energy use.
Will you test it?
It is on our list. When we test it, this page will show measured results and a score.
